Running a tournament is always free

Creating it, registering players, seeding, entering results — no limits on any of it.

Paper brackets, digitized instantly

Just photograph the sheet — even a handwritten one. Claude reads the names and their order.

Results reach everyone, instantly

The moment a result is confirmed, every screen watching that bracket updates live.

Read from a photo

Bring your paper-and-whiteboard tournament straight into the app.

Photograph or upload an existing bracket sheet and Claude reads the entrant names and their order. Handwritten sheets work too.

The names and their order come back on a review screen. Fix anything that came out wrong, mark the seeds, and confirming registers the participants and builds the matchups in one step. Nothing in your tournament changes until you confirm.

Getting started is simple

Create a tournament

Just give it a name. Free, with no limit on how many you make.

Add participants

Type the whole list in, or read it from a photo. Either screen settles the order and the seeds too.

Enter results

Confirm as each match finishes. Winners advance to the next round automatically.

Share it live

Spectators don't need an account. Everyone watching sees updates the moment they happen.

Everything a tournament needs

Byes handled automatically

If the field isn't a power of two, byes are inserted automatically so the bracket still works.

Two ways in, one way to decide

Type the list in or read it from a photo. Either way, the same screen sets the order and the seeds and builds the matchups.

Built for 65 players and up

Up to 64 per block. Beyond that, split the tournament into blocks and register each block's winner in the final block yourself. A third-place block is available too.

Add other organizers

Invite by email or link. Everyone enters and confirms results the same way.

No login for spectators

Anyone can view a public tournament. Players and parents never need an account.

20 languages

Available in Japanese, English, and 18 more languages.

Pricing

Running your tournament is free — and so is printing it.

Creating the tournament, registering participants, drawing the bracket, entering and confirming results, and printing the bracket with its QR code. All free, with no limit on how many times.

Tournament pass

$4/ tournament · valid 3 months

Not a monthly subscription — buy it only for the tournaments that need it. When it expires your tournament data stays, and viewing, result entry and watermarked printing remain free. Billed in Japanese yen (¥500); the dollar figure is a guide.

  • Remove the print watermark and choose A3 or A4, portrait or landscape, scores shown or hidden
  • Print certificates for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place on the spot
  • No ads
  • Higher limit on photo-import scans

How this is different from other bracket tools

Most tools earn the bulk of their revenue from payment fees when organizers collect entry fees online.

Tournament Scan doesn't have a way to collect entry fees online at all. At school and community tournaments, entry fees are usually collected in cash or through club dues — there's no need for online payment in the middle of that. That's part of why running a tournament here can stay free.
